Daddy Long Legs Spider | Mesmerising Moments

Behind the coffee, behind the kettle you hang impossibly against the tile.

You shudder each time I make a brew as coffee pot quivers invisible threads.

There’s food there, in the airy space between tile and kettle – a desiccated moth.

It’s my turn to shudder. Granddaddy-long-legs twitches. He must have emigrated after the notorious Hoover-Nozzle-Above-The-Door incident back in September.

A new home, food, comfort – sheltered behind the coffee, behind the kettle. Settled beside the trays I let you lurk, undisturbed by housework.

This picture was taken during this Mesmerising Moment on a mobile phone camera.
