Grey Clouds | Mesmerising Moments

Clouds
sweep the hills —
wear gloves
of grey,
like mourners
who push fingers
through the hair
of sad children.

The call
of a solitary curlew
sets ponies
moving —
Manes
shaking out the mist.

Gorse and pools
disappear.
Sound …
is a deep breath.
In the far valley —
a pale light

appears.
