Dog Rose | Mesmerising Moments

Angry voices, shouts and screams – I can barely hear the words on my screen!

Noise, seeping through the open window, sends me flying outdoors.

Grey concrete, black tarmac, red brick stares back as I tramp, tramp, tramp. Capped by the concrete clouds the muggy heat stifles my senses.

Oh for some space and a place of peace!

There, on a tiny roundabout, in what would be the dappled shade of the birch tree, a pink flower barks for my attention. The bright heart centre in a chakra of green.

You can find out more about the cultivation of the dog rose (Rosa canina) on Wikipedia.

There’s also a great How to on the Eatweeds website if you want to try your own rosehip tea.

This picture was taken on a phone camera during this Mesmerising Moment.
