Moon | Mesmerising Moments

Clear air, bright in nostrils, cools skin into gooseflesh.

Trees bask in orange street lights and above the human rumble, the mechanics that keep us going.

The distant motorway bass line throbs on the edge of everything.

The click and whirr of a boiler, water rushing, emotional heart of the house – puffs of condensation rise, mini-clouds for milliseconds.

A rustle in the undergrowth, returning from the field, the cat appears.

Good hunt? I ask, casually.

Meh, the reply as she sits on damp grass and lifts her leg to clean it. For a moment she stops, staring through the trees, perpendicular leg poised. She sees it through the leaves.

I look and my eyes too reach out for the moon.

The picture was taken during this Mesmerising Moment.
