Moon and Corona   |   Mesmerising Moments

Slivers of silver slice through the trees and land on the wall. A mocking reflection bends in the breeze.

Candlewick clouds skitter along in rows. The moon winks.

High above, on the edge of heaven’s wispy beard, a moondog appears. It grows and swirls, thousands of rainbow horses stampeding, kept in toe by the gravity glow of the moon.

For a split second I look into heaven’s eye. Then it’s gone. The colourful corona collapses into the white hole as a blanket moves in from the east.
