Thunder Storm Clouds Brewing | Mesmerising Moments

Thunder rumbles incessently through steely clouds, slow moving, rain-pregnant.

Expectant, I take off my shoes. The still air calmly carries the constant beat of the coming storm. Birds, quiet in the trees.

I stand on the damp grass watching as the might of the atmosphere ignites a fire in my feet.

It teases, not quite overhead, promising a blessed downpour but not yet delivering. I wait, an hour or more then

it releases.

Fat raindrops plop from the sky as spiders hide beneath leaves. I match the bouncing drops on the quickly soaked lawn with leaps and bounds of rain drenched joy.

Toes squelch, arms rise, face turns skyward.

As adults we can view behaviour often seen in a child being expressed by an adult as childish. There are too many occasions when childLIKE is mistaken for childish.

Reclaiming our childLIKE behaviour can be the key to unlocking your Mesmerising Moments.

I have a strong memory of getting drenched to the skin in the park when I was little. There is that moment where you stop trying not to get wet and just give in to the soaking, and it’s fabulous. I ran in to avoid getting soaked in the garden yesterday, but I might just stay out next time…

We spend so much time indoors, especially when it’s raining. Taking a leap and getting outside when the summer thunder storms arrive is such a refreshing way to experience rain.
