Drop of Water Falling | Mesmerising Moments

The air is still, the grass cool and wet beneath my feet.

Soft rain falls on my upturned face. Gentle, soothing, cooling.

The earth’s magnet pulls the water straight from the sky.

It tickles as hundreds of minute droplets coalesce, streaming down my skin. Tiny pools fill my eye sockets.

I lift my face, the water running down my chin, hanging for a moment, ballooning until the meniscus breaks.

The raindrop falls completing the journey to earth and beginning its search for the ocean.
